First Day of Preschool

Carter and Jacob had their first day of preschool last Tuesday. I was super nervous to take them as I feared that Jacob would completely melt down when I left, but much to my surprise both boys loved it and there were no tears! I can't even believe it. I was the one crying as I walked to the car wondering what I was going to do with myself for the next three hours. I came home to a very quiet house. I have to admit, it was a hard day for me. How did my boys get so big already?

When I picked them up, I tried to find out what they had done, my silly little boys were full of stories, some made up, which they found hilarious and only a couple of real ones. Still trying to figure out what exactly goes on at school :)

Preschool Debacle

Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a planner. So, I began researching preschools early. At the time, we were still living in Tigard, so we selected a preschool that we loved in Lake Oswego. We were wait listed for a year and then accepted and all set to go until two weeks ago. That is when an email arrived saying that they found dry-rot and carpenter ants in some of the support beams of the building and they would have to be fixed before school could begin. They stated that it might be a two week delay which I was totally fine with.

Then last week we learned that the two week delay now might be 2 months or more and currently they were researching temporary locations but had no solutions nor any answers as to when or if preschool might start. As the emails communication continued the situation just kept getting worse and they didn't have any concrete solutions. So, after a couple of sleepless nights we decided to select a new preschool for the boys. We think it will be perfect for them for their first year and it is very close to our house. So, after all the preschool drama, we are finally set to start school on Tuesday at 9 am. Wish us luck!
