Thomas Live!

Last night we took Carter and Jacob to Thomas Live! The boys are really into Thomas right now and so we thought it would be fun to take them. It was a bit of a gamble since they have never been to anything where they are required to sit down for over an hour. Once the lights went down and the show began, they were both glued to the stage. They loved every minute of it!! They made it to intermission which was my only goal but they were ready for more so we stayed for the entire show. They were still talking about it today. I wish I had some pictures to post but we weren't allowed to take photos.

A Visit from Chef Mimi and Chef Chris

My best friend from college and her husband were here last week visiting us and the boys. We had a great time hanging out and the boys just loved Mimi and Chris (they are still asking about them). One super fun thing about their visit is that Mimi and Chris are both chefs (Mimi is a chef at one of Wolfgang Puck's restaurants and Chris is a chef for the catering side of Wolfgang's business).

On Wednesday night, we went out to a restaurant in NW that one of their friends is the chef at. I was very adventurous and tried some new things although had I known that sweet breads are neither sweet nor bread, I am not sure I would have tried it. On Thursday Mimi and I met up with some of our sorority sisters for an evening out with just the girls and on Friday night Mimi and Chris cooked one of the best meals I have ever had for us. It was so much to get to hang out with both of them for the week.

My Little Helpers

My boys are currently at the age where they love helping!! They fight over who gets to take the empty boxes out to the garage after they are unpacked, they sing the "clean-up" song and help pick-up the play room and they like to help vacuum and sweep the floors. It is really cute! One thing they also love to help with is cooking, so I recently let them make their own pizza for dinner. They loved it and when Will walked in the door, they told him about every last detail. Here are some pics of my little chefs.
